DESCRIPTION: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., "950", 16 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and pendant set, adjusted, damascened, nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold wheel train and whiplash micrometric regulator in a white gold filled, screw back and bezel open face Hamilton "Railroad Model" case and Arabic numeral, double sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #2504442, c1930.
CONDITION: CASE: Two minor dents, back; Interior of back with marks from dent removal; Minor dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Gold filled with moderate brassing; Crown worn. DIAL: Hairline in enamel, very light, 11:00; Fine scratches. HANDS: A few specks of oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor marks and scratches on plate; Haze and minor spotting; Bright work with minor scratches; Regulator assembly with specks of oxide; Balance endstone setting marred; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), low balance amplitude; Hairspring requires centering.
